– LOS ALAMOS  |  OCTOBER 11-13, 2019 –

Join the Jette Sette Experience for an incredible weekend of Wellness & Wine in Los Alamos, California. One of my favorite parts of California is the Santa Ynez Valley with it’s gorgeous landscapes and sleepy cowboy towns. It is THE perfect weekend getaway from L.A.! It’s a quick scenic drive to Los Alamos which is the hidden gem of the valley. The town has only one main road which is filled with insanely delicious restaurants, natural winemakers that understand the land, and quirky renovated motels providing the perfect place to stay.

For this inaugural Jette Sette Weekend you will get to experience my favorite spots all chosen with you in mind. This weekend is designed as a reset for your body, mind & spirit. Not only will you get to enjoy 2 intimate Pilates classes and hike the valley… you will also dine at Bell’s a french bistro where chef Daisy Ryan is a Per Se alum. The weekend will also include a Lymphatic Workshop by the divine Lisa Gainsley and a wine tasting in the gorgeous Spear Winery tasting room. See all details below!

This weekend will give you a chance to unwind and reconnect to yourself. We all need time away from our daily stressors to find our center both physically and mentally. In Los Alamos, you will finally be able to sit back, relax and just focus on you whether it’s toning your body during pilates or enjoying good conversation over a glass of wine. You will leave this experience standing taller, feeling more grounded and motivated for the months to come. This Jette Sette Weekend in Los Alamos is the perfect fall reset.

We have arranged for the group to stay at the super funky Skyview Los Alamos which provides the perfect place to relax with views of the valley, private fire pits and a pool. Check out the Skyview insta page to see all the cool details!

But one of the most important parts of this Weekend of Wellness & Wine (and all future Jette Sette Trips!) is that 10% of proceeds will be donated to a local non – profit in the area. It has become increasingly important to me to support and give back to these communities. For this fall trip I have chosen to donate to The Los Alamos Foundation. This local organization works to honor the heritage of Los Alamos while also supporting the undeniable growth of the town. Each summer they provide a free summer camp to children as well as offer scholarships to students who show strong leadership skills and a commitment to their community as well as a scholarship for the arts.

The Pilates Class  |  Our weekend pilates classes will focus on the connection between our bodies and the space around us. Each class will be taught outside on the porch of the Skyview with views of the surrounding mountains. We will channel our inner Joseph Pilates as we breathe in the fresh air and exercise our bodies mindfully.

{Lisa Gainsley}

Lisa Levitt Gainsley is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist. Lisa utilizes her 25 years of vast knowledge of the lymphatic system to address the specific needs of her clientele, whether they are interested in boosting immunity, reducing inflammation in their body, at risk for lymphedema, or recovering from an injury or surgery. Lisa is a member of LE&RN, a non-profit organization (Lymphatic Education and Research Network) working to initiate government legislation to fund research for lymphatic cures and breakthroughs. She is an innovator in her field and has also studied Craniosacral therapy, Swedish and Chi Nei Tsang (abdominal and visceral strokes) and has developed an integrative modality incorporating these elements together in a Lymphatic signature treatment. {Follow Lisa here!}

What is Lymphatic Massage ?  |  The light touch utilized in Manual Lymph Drainage is designed to move the skin in specific directions in order to stretch and stimulate the opening of the initial lymphatics just below the surface of the skin. A majority of lymph fluid resides underneath the surface of the skin. By optimizing the lymphatic system, we minimize sluggish build up and accumulated toxins. This technique allows the body to sink into the parasympathetic nervous system, where healing can occur.

The Workshop  |  Learn how to optimize health, reduce inflammation, improve digestion, and achieve glowing skin through Lymphatic Self-Care; your body’s secret to immune health. This workshop is great for yogis, teachers, fitness trainers, & anyone interested in a self-care routine. You will walk away from this educational afternoon with an understanding of how lymphatic circulation can enhance your workout and your body’s natural detox process.

– Location / Hotel –

Los Alamos was founded in 1876 by two ranchers, John S. Bell and Dr. James Barron Shaw, each donating part of their land to create the town site. Named Los Alamos, Spanish for “the cottonwoods” that still grace the area, it looks and feels vintage yet with a burgeoning food, wine, and arts scene. The town is surrounded by ranches, farms and vineyards at the northern “entry” to the Santa Ynez Valley, Los Alamos (population 1,890) is located at the junction of US Highway 101 and State Route 135 (the main thoroughfare known as Bell Street). It’s only seven blocks long yet reflects as much Old West heritage as any small town on California’s Central Coast.

Skyview Motel is an iconic roadside motel turned boutique luxury, offering 33 guest rooms, a full-service restaurant, heated pool and a working vineyard. Perched on a hillside overlooking Santa Barbara wine country, the 5 acre outpost merges mid century style with modern rustic chic.

Throughout the hotel, original mid century architecture has been enhanced with a modern rustic aesthetic and luxury trimmings. The guest rooms have undergone a stem to stern renovation and feature hardwood floors, AC/heat, flat panel televisions, down duvets, leather club chairs and marble-clad bathrooms. Many rooms have indoor fireplaces and private patios with stunning wine country views.
